Manus Cranny brings more than 30 years of business, finance and media experience to his role as co-anchor of Bloomberg Brief from Bloomberg’s Global Headquarters in New York at 5am EST.

Formerly based in London and Dubai, he previously hosted Bloomberg’s flagship Middle East and European breakfast shows in conjunction with lead OPEC+ reporting duties.

Manus began his career as a commodity trader at First Chicago Bank (now part of JP Morgan) and Cantor Fitzgerald.

He has interviewed global business and political leaders in banking, energy and foreign policy including the CEOs of UBS, HSBC, Shell and Total.

At OPEC+, he interviewed many policy leaders from Saudi Arabia, UAE and Russia.

He has broken many of the market’s biggest stories, including the Publicis/Omnicom and Holcim/Lafarge mergers, worth $35 billion and €42 billion respectively.

Cranny received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Queen’s University Belfast.
