Stephen Carroll is a London-based anchor for Bloomberg Radio, hosting “Bloomberg Daybreak Europe” and “Bloomberg UK Politics”. He has been a TV & radio journalist for 20 years, working in France, Ireland and the UK.

Stephen has reported on major economic, political and global stories, from the eurozone debt crisis to the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris. He has interviewed newsmakers including French President Emmanuel Macron, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, and Airbnb co-founder Nathan Blecharczyk. He has also hosted debates at the World Economic Forum in Davos, and the OECD in Paris.

Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2022, Stephen spent ten years at France 24 television in Paris. From Dublin, he previously worked at outlets including Sky News and RTÉ.

Stephen graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a master’s degree in comparative politics, after studying law at University College Dublin and Université Paris Nanterre. In 2019, he was selected as a Journalist in Residence at the Stigler Center of the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
